Police operatives in Bayelsa State have arrested a a runaway solider, identified simply as Tony, who allegedly beheaded his girlfriend in the riverside town of Kabeama, Sagbama LGA of the state.
The deceased, a mother of one identified as Miss Maxuel Ebibraladei, was allegedly killed by her lover between 3 AM on Saturday, February 3.
It was gathered that her headless naked body was discovered at dawn by neighbours.
A community source told Vanguard: “We don’t know what happened between the two lovers that would make him cut off the head of his girlfriend and mother of his child.
The two of them are the quiet and easygoing type. We are at a loss as to what went wrong. The headless corpse of the lady was evacuated and deposited at the mortuary of Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa on Saturday while the arrested boyfriend is in custody of the police in Yenagoa.”
