Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation, said super cool, Abba Kyari, fingered in the Hushpupi multimillion-dollar internet fraud, may be extradited to the United States to face charges.
Mr Malami disclosed that the Nigerian government was collaborating with the U.S. government on the case of Mr Kyari’s involvement with Hushpupi.
“There is a lot of issues that are ongoing, inclusive of the possibility and consideration for extradition and associated things.
“That is where the collaboration element of it comes to play. There could be a possibility or perhaps a need for making such request,” Mr Malami said.
Probed further if the U.S. had requested for Mr Kyari’s extradition, Mr Malami said “As far as I am concerned, the parties are discussing and collaborating and there are exchange of correspondence from the perspective of investigation, from the perspective of extradition and associated things.”
