News coming in now has it that the government of Benin Republic has refused to hand over Yoruba Activist, Sunday Igboho to the Nigerian government.
late Monday night, July 19, 2021, Sunday Igboho was arrested by the government of Benin republic while he was planning to flee the country to Germany.
Recall that Sunday Igboho was decleared wanted by the State Department of Security Service, ( DSS) after his home was attacked in Ibadan.
However, according to a reliable source, Benin republic Government has refused to hand him over the the Nigerian government.
The source further disclosed that Sunday Igboho’s Lawyers were quick to call on Benin Government
“Sunday Iboho’s lawyers were quick to call on the Benin Republic Government immediately the Nigerian force got him, so the Interpol and the Govt of Benin have refused handing him over.
This may not be far from the border closure of Nigerian government for months which affected the Government of Benin and of course, both Benin and Yoruba have something in common” the source further stated
