The Sokoto State command of the Nigeria Police Force has declared the fleeing suspected killers of Deborah Samuel, in a viral video wanted for culpable homicide.
Celebritywatch had earlier reported that Muslim extremists at Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto State, on May 12 killed and burnt Deborah who was a 200-level female Christian student of the College, over an alleged blasphemy of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
Two suspects were arrested and charged to Sokoto Magistrate Court on May 16 on the charges of Conspiracy and Causing Public Disturbance.
In a press release signed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Sanusi Abubakar, and made available to newsmen in the state on Tuesday said, “The Sokoto State Command under the able leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Kamaldeen Okunlola, has declared the suspects spotted on the viral video wanted.
“The Command is using this medium to reiterate its commitment towards apprehending the suspects. The command has already deployed all its intelligence and is on the lookout for the suspects.
“Members of the public are enjoined to cooperate with the police and report any mere identification to the command or any security outfit in their domain. The command can be reached through its emergency number, 07068848035.”
The PPRO stated that the two suspects arrested at the scene of the incident have been remanded in prison.
