Report has it that the former member of the senate and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Osun State, Senator Adebayo Salami is dead.
Salami, a fourth republic senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District died in the United States of America on Thursday night.
Circumstances leading to his death was however still uncertain as at the time of filing this report.
Unconfirmed report however revealed that his death might not be unconnected with COVID-19 complications.
Salami was elected senator representing Osun State in 1999 on the platform of Alliance for Democracy (AD) and took office on May 29,same year.
His first son, Oluwatoyin Salami confirmed the death and aged 68years.
He was appointed to Committees on Public Account, Labour, Vice Chairman on Committee on Power And steel as well as Water Resources.
He was a gubernatorial candidate of National Republican Convention in the state and contested against Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
