They have been serious mixed-reactions from Nigerians after a video of governor Wike of Rivers state is seen promising 10Million each to all artistes who performed at the home coming concert of Burna Boy after he worn the Grammy.
Burna Boy’s homecoming concert for winning a Grammy was held yesterday March 27, in Rivers state.
However, one of the highlight of the event was Burna Boy being gifted a land in Old GRA, Port Harcourt and money to build by Governor Nyesom Wike.
Governor Wike also promised to give artistes who performed at Burna’s Homecoming Concert in Rivers State N10 million each.
Since this revelation, Nigerians have taken to social media to condemn the act of kindness by the governor. Some describe it as a ‘misplaced priority’. while some have been applauding him for doing so.
meanwhile, Governor Wike is yet to react to the backlash from people.
