Nollywood actress cum movie producer, Queen Blessing Ebigieson is set to honor the Mayegun of Yorubaland,King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal with Humanitarian Ambassador Award.
Speaking with Celebritywatch Magazine,Queen Bee said the event is in commemorating her annual widows’ empowerment programme under the auspices of the Queen Blessing Foundation in Ibadan.
The seventh edition of the initiative with the theme: “Valentine Special Celebrating the Widows and Aged Women” will hold February 14, at the Popoyemoja palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, the Aje Ogunguniso 1 Olubadan of Ibadanland.
According to the founder of the foundation and the Vice president of the Association of Movie producers Nigeria (AMP), Ambassador Queen Blessing Ebigieson, despite challenges and lack of corporate sponsorship in funding the initiative, about 1,000 widows will be empowered on that day.
The Nollywood actress, who is an indigene of Okpella, Estako East Local Government in Edo State, also noted that the foundation just got a new partner, Professor Azeez Butali,founder of Azeez Butali Foundation,who has pledged his support for QBF in hosting the widows support programme yearly.
The popular Genesis Hall Event Centre will play a host of top musicians including, Yinka Ayefele, Taye Currency, Femi Solar, Adegbodu Twins, Dele Taiwo, Femo Lancaster,Yinka Adonai, and Saint Janet, among others to entertain the guests.
