A US-based Nigerian doctor, identified as Onyekachi Nwabuko, has been arrested by the police in Florida for allegedly attacking a semi-unconscious female patient.
Law&Crime reports that the 44-year-old suspect, who works at the University of Florida Health Leesburg Hospital, repeatedly slapped the patient using the patient’s own hand because he believed she was faking a seizure.
He was arrested on Wednesday morning, February 16, after police responded to a 911 call about a possible battery. He was subsequently charged with three counts of battery, following statements from two registered nurses, a hospital director, and the victim.
According to the Police, the victim also appeared to have sustained a “significant facial injury.”
