Veteran Nigerian actress Lanre Hassan better known as ‘Iya Awero’ has been gifted a three bedroom apartment by the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu today March 24, 2021.
This was made public by Sanwo-Olu chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Asokile on Twitter few hours ago.
Gboyega said the governor handed over the keys to the apartment to the Thespian as he commissioned, delivered and renamed the LagosHoms, Igbogbi as Prince Abiodun Ogunleye Housing Estate, Igbogbi.
Handing over the keys to her, Governor Sanwo-Olu said
”You don’t need to celebrate them when they die. You can celebrate them when they are still alive. You can celebrate them when they are still alive. This our Nollywood star who has worked for over 30-to 40 years. She needs to be celebrated. Congratulations”
