Even though Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has not yet decleared his intentions to succed president Buhari in 2023, a support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated why he should succeed Buhari at the expiration of his tenure in 2023.
The group identified as Progressive Consolidated Group (PCG) who stated this in a statement by Barrister Emmanuel Pippain, said giving Osinbajo the mandate would be in the national interest
He explained that Osinbajo was fit for the number one job because of his level of familiarity with the vision, achievements and challenges being handled by President Buhari, and urged him to run.
“We are convinced that Osinbajo’s level of familiarity with the vision, achievements and challenges being handled by President Buhari is second to none and that such insight would enable a new APC administration to hit the ground running in 2023.
“We anticipate that various new and existing pro-Osinbajo platforms will become part of the group to which their focus appears more relevant,” the group said.
